Welcome to Thecaddesigner! Our recent project involved redesigning a factory layout to accommodate new machinery, requiring the addition of a raised walkway for staff to navigate the production floor efficiently. Through our expertise in Tekla steelwork design and LiDAR site surveys, we created and utilized 3D point-cloud real-world data to create a seamless solution for our client.

This project highlights the innovative Scan-to-Design service we offer. Using this technology, we were able to accurately capture the existing factory design complexities and efficiently propose a raised gantry design, by modelling directly in the point-cloud, that met our client's needs while avoiding any potential clashes. A modular design was developed that simplifies fabrication, ensuring efficient and quick installation with minimal disruption to our clients' operations.

During the approval process, our innovative Virtual Tour feature allowed all parties to virtually walk through the factory, enabling immediate identification and resolution of potential issues. This unique approach saves valuable time and costs associated with remote collaboration, showcasing our commitment to efficient and effective design solutions.
